Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the SCOPE website (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
These Terms apply to every visitor, including those who only browse public pages, those who submit a contact or intake form, and those who hold an account in a member portal once one is offered.
Who SCOPE is
SCOPE is a readiness-first advisory practice offering private investigation, executive protection, security consulting, physical security evaluations, process serving, background checks, coaching, and related professional support services in Oklahoma.
Services described on the Site are educational summaries. They do not by themselves create a client engagement. A formal engagement begins only when a written agreement is signed.
No professional advice or legal authority
Content on the Site is informational. It is not legal, investigative, security, or other professional advice for any specific situation. Reading the Site does not create a professional-client or attorney-client relationship.
SCOPE operates as a private, lawful service provider. SCOPE is not law enforcement, holds no government authority, and makes no claim to act outside the scope of its license. Service area, licensure, and credentials are limited to what SCOPE explicitly states in writing.
Permitted use of the Site
You may view, download, and print Site content for personal, non-commercial, lawful use. You may not scrape, mirror, or republish Site content without written permission.
You must not use the Site to send malware, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, harvest personal data, or interfere with the Site’s operation.
Inquiries and form submissions
When you submit a contact or intake form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to share it. SCOPE will use submissions to evaluate and reply to your inquiry. See the Privacy Policy for storage and sharing details.
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee that SCOPE will accept the matter. SCOPE may decline any engagement for any lawful reason.
Accounts and member features (future)
If and when SCOPE offers a member portal or account features, you will be responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You must notify SCOPE promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
SCOPE may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that is used in a manner that risks the safety, privacy, or lawful operation of the Site or its members.
User-generated content (future community features)
Community-style features such as a public media feed, job board, calendar, or events board are planned for a future phase. When those features go live, the rules in this section apply to anything you post.
You retain ownership of what you post but grant SCOPE a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate it on the Site. You will not post unlawful, harassing, infringing, or confidential information that you do not have the right to share.
SCOPE may remove any content and may suspend any account that violates these rules.
Intellectual property
The SCOPE name, mark, design system, copy, photography, and code are owned by SCOPE or its licensors. All rights are reserved except for the limited use granted above.
You will not remove or alter copyright, trademark, or attribution notices on the Site.
Third-party links and tools
The Site may link to third-party sites, social platforms, or service providers. SCOPE does not control and is not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those third parties.
The Site may use first-party analytics and lightweight service providers (hosting, email delivery, error reporting). See the Privacy Policy for the current list.
Disclaimers and limits
The Site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. SCOPE does not warrant that the Site is uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. SCOPE does not guarantee specific investigative, advisory, or security outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCOPE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site.
Termination
SCOPE may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. SCOPE may end your access for violations of these Terms or for lawful operational reasons. Sections that, by their nature, should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, governing law) will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these Terms
SCOPE may update these Terms from time to time. When SCOPE does, the "Effective" date at the top of this page will be updated, and material changes will be summarized at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
How to contact SCOPE
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the contact page. For legal notices, write to the address listed on the contact page or the email published in the footer.
These Terms are a careful draft prepared for the Site. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel before formal publication.
